Starting in May, the girls started showing at both local and regional shows. ABH Khurrem Al Abhar, a.k.a. Roxy, and SEA Obsidian Ice, a.k.a. Nova, showed In Hand. Which is similar to how you would see a dog show. The animal gets led around at different paces to show their movement and then stand for the judge to see their confirmation.
Whether it was the local 4-H open breed shows or the Arabian Horse Association shows, these girls represented us well.
The culmination was attending the East Coast Egyptian Classic at Lexington Virginia (29 July -1 Aug). Both girls walked away with several Championship wins as well as top 5 placings.
Our partnership with Emmanuel Equine Center has resulted in the two girls maturing from diamonds in the rough to shining stars.
Nova came home with us after the show. Roxy is staying with Emmanuel Equine to refine her saddle training in preparation for next season.
