Meet the Kiddos.
Straight Egyptian. A purebred lineage tracing back to the Bedouin desert tribes. One of the oldest recognized breed of horse.
Egyptian Sired vs Heritage Arabians.
Egyptian Sired, requires a specific parent match. The horse must be produced by breeding a Straight Egyptian stallion directly to a purebred Arabian mare who is not Straight Egyptian.
Egyptian Heritage, is a broader category used for show divisions. The horse must have at least one Straight Egyptian parent (which can be either the sire or the dam), or in some specific futurity contexts, at least one Straight Egyptian grandparent.
Arabian by Proxy. Nutmeg is our senior member of the herd. She came to us as a rescue in 2015 when we believe she was 19 years old. While she is not an Arabian, the Kiddos have adopted her, hence she is an Arabian by Proxy.
